italian lake como elopement with red vespa and tulips

Europe is full of picturesque places that come to mind even if you have never stepped foot in them. Lake Como is the best combination of European scenic magic and serves a perfect backdrop for an intimate elopement anytime of year! This shoot was so much fun with Makayla and Cjoe fulfilling my dream of an easy going, couple centered elopement.

Why not travel to a bucket list location just the two of you? A charming Airbnb is definitely the way to go. You can feel like a local and immerse yourself in Italian life, which is quite contagious. A good Airbnb selection is also helpful if you would like pictures getting dressed that match your overall vibe. Makayla’s gown was modern and simple, and allowed her to move around and explore. The couple rode on a rented vespa and we took some beautiful pictures in the town. The classic, bright red vespa was gorgeous accessory and timeless transportation choice for a lakefront front Italy adventure. The blooming spring trees perfectly timed with when we were there, lined the shore of Lake Como adding to the romance. Makayla and Cjoe’s chemistry and joy really tied this into a perfect day!

After some portraits the couple had dinner at a local restaurant. This is another great opportunity for the two of you to consider the things that are unique to your love story. Is a private reservation the way you want to spend the evening, having the best pasta you have ever tasted? Are you brunch people and would rather find the best cafe with perfect view and Italian coffee? Did you meet over dessert and exploring the best pastries in the city sound divine? You could fill a basket with your selections and have a picnic near the water. The possibilities are endless but elopements are all about unique, simple experiences that focus on the two people in love.
