Kaelin and Evan’s wedding at The Vista at 21 was EPIC! With colorful artsy vibes, great fashion, a dance floor full of guests, fireworks, and an amazing sunset – it was one for the books! This rooftop wedding venue in the heart of downtown Tulsa was the perfect backdrop for their vibrant and non-traditional wedding day!

Unique Artsy Tulsa Wedding

Kaelin and Evan are so sweet and so in love! It was important to them to create a wedding day that authentically represented their personalities and appreciation for art! When I arrived at the Indigo Hotel, I captured some of their details. I was blown away by their invitation suite and other paper goods with art by their favorite artists, Van Gogh and Basquiat. They included so many thoughtful and personal touches including Evan’s Native American beaded choker.

Before the ceremony, we did a first look at the brand new beautiful bar at the hotel. Kaelin and Evan saw each other first, before doing a first look with Kaelin and the groomsmen. I loved that she took advantage of the moment to ice them!

Afterward, we headed out into the city to capture some portraits with the wedding party before heading to the venue. The couple asked their guests to dress in bright colors and had their wedding party dress in all black, which was another unique touch on the day! We walked around the nearby streets and, of course, had to use the colorful murals! It was clear they love their group of friends and I had so much fun just being with them all day.

City View Wedding at The Vista at 21

The Tulsa city views from The Vista at 21 are just incredible! The venue has a huge outdoor deck on the 5th floor of the building that was perfect for their ceremony. After their ceremony, we took full advantage of the space and the incredible sunset to capture their portraits. The lighting was so perfect! Kaelin and Evan added film photography as well, which was so much fun to capture! Learn more about using film photography at your wedding and see a mix of digital and film photos below!

Kaelin and Evan’s reception was an absolute blast. Kaelin wowed everyone with an outfit change before they kicked off the night with their first dance, parent dances, and toasts. Everyone spent the night out on the dance floor and Kaelin and Evan even got to DJ for a bit. The night ended with a surprise fireworks show! The fireworks were happening just a block away for a soccer game, but we were lucky enough to catch them in time for photos. Kealin and Evan left for the night with a streamer exit and we headed straight to McDonald’s for a nightcap! The perfect end to the day!
