Meredith and Eric’s small, intimate chapel wedding was one for the books! These two were clients of mine when I lived in New York. I took their engagement photos over two years ago, but they chose to have me travel back to New York to photograph their big day – even though I had moved to Tulsa! I was so honored! They are both super sweet and playful with each other and I loved photographing them. Their wedding day was one of the most special days and I am so excited to share!
We started the day capturing their details and photographing Meredith as she finished up getting ready. Their black and blush color palette was super classy and perfect for a September wedding. Meredith’s dress was stunning! I loved the incredible beading and details that sparkled when the light hit it.
Meredith and Eric both lost people very special to them, Meredith losing her father and Eric losing his grandmother. They chose to honor them with Eric wearing a small photo pinned on his jacket and Meredith carrying a photo on her bouquet. It was such a special way to hold them close all day. Once Meredith and Eric were both ready, we met in the hotel lobby for their intimate first look. They shared sweet, sentimental vows before heading to the ceremony location, The Chapel at Islip Grange, for portraits in front of the historic mill and chapel.
The Chapel at Islip Grange is such a unique and historic location. It couldn’t have been a better place for their intimate ceremony. They invited around thirty family and friends to celebrate with them. Since it was a smaller wedding everything was so intentional and well planned and allowed for plenty of time for them to all be together. You could tell everyone was so happy for the couple and thrilled to witness them officially tie the knot. The photos in and around the cute little chapel are some of my favorites from the day!Â
After the ceremony, everyone headed over to The Winston, a Long Island event space. This venue was decorated beautifully with stunning flower arrangements and detailed place settings that went great with the industrial brick look of the venue. Their reception was laid-back and super fun! After dark, we went to an alley behind the venue and found a super bright and colorful mural. We made sure to get some film photos in front of the neon sign at a nearby store as well! Here are some of my favorite image of the day. Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
