Ashley and John’s Bradford House elopement wedding was incredible! Ashley and John are the sweetest couple and were so excited it was finally their day!
The Bradford House is a historic home turned boutique hotel in Oklahoma City, with every room in the hotel meticulously designed, with a modern, colorful twist. The hotels rooms each room is painted a different bright color and filled with unique design elements. This was the perfect location for Ashley and John’s intimate wedding celebration with just thirty of their closest family and friends.
Both Ashley and John got ready separately using hotel rooms upstairs. It was so much fun to capture their details and getting ready portraits with all the colors and features in the room. Ashley looked so elegant in her fitted silk dress with the cowl neckline. The button details down the back looked gorgeous on her! John wore a custom-made suit complete with a colorful orange and red lining.
Once Ashley and John were ready, we headed outside to the courtyard for their first look. Their ceremony was held in the library and pink room on the first floor of the hotel. It was cozy, intimate, and emotional to witness John and Ashley tie the knot. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house! After the ceremony, we snuck away for some sunset portraits (film & digital!) while their guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers on the wrap-around porch.Â
A common concern I hear from couples is that it can be challenging to capture photos when there is a noticeable height difference. It is up to you as a couple to decide if you want to embrace your height differences or have me direct you for those differences to be less noticeable. With John and Ashley, we did a mixture of the two. They were completely relaxed in front of the camera and with each other! We experimented with various angles, took advantage of the beautiful bar setting, and utilized the stunning stairway to complement the couple!
