Wildflower Engagement Session

Are you wondering where to have your engagement or couples session in Tulsa? An engagement session in a wildflower field will be a great setting for you! The wildflowers around the Tulsa area bloom so brilliantly and brightly. They burst forth filling a field with awe inspiring color and romantic vibes. Whether it is Indian paintbrushes, wild sunflowers, tall thistle or blue eyed grass there is no shortage of prairies ready to be your backdrop as they bloom.

Wildflower Prairies

For Abigail and Anderson’s wildflower engagement session the star of the show was Queen Anne’s Lace. These blooms were spectacular and Abigail and Anderson brought all the laid back, romantic feels to this session. It was a lot of fun to showcase their love on this evening. Queen Anne’s Lace has such a delicate, bridal feel that mixed with the golden hour light it just shines.

Abigail and Anderson wore beautiful earth tones that did double duty complimenting and contrasting with the landscape around them. Both were comfortable yet classy and Abigail’s soft patterned dress popped among the fields. Ladies, is there anything better than a dress with pockets? They were able to move around easily and put in some personality with fun sneakers. This facilitated us doing some fun, organic, and carefree prompts with not-your-grandmother’s-stiff-poses.

If you are interested in what wildflowers grow in our area, this website has names and images of local varieties. My favorite has to be Queen Annes Lace which usually blooms in late May-early June. I would be happy to share places that I have shot like this one, and also go on an adventure to find a new locations with you. Let’s make the most of what our area has to offer so freely!
