planning tips

When Vanessa and Ryan inquired with me and shared their plans for an elopement in the mountains, I could not have been more excited! They told me they wanted a non-traditional wedding day spent outdoors, instead of a busy, stereotypical wedding. They love spending time in nature, have four dogs, and are very much in love so it could not have been more fitting to spend their wedding day with just the two of them!

Hudson Valley Boho Elopement

Vanessa and Ryan planned their elopement at Little Stony Point in Cold Springs, NY. This short hike has gorgeous views as you walk along the waterfront of the Hudson River. Vanessa wanted it to highlight the natural backdrop and add boho vibes to their attire and florals. She brought along her staple leather jacket and had Wildflower Touch design a gorgeous bouquet and boutonniere. It matched their laid-back, edgy style.

Fall Elopement in the Mountains

It had been raining throughout the day, but it stopped just as we met up for the elopement! We chose to first walk to the beach area of the park. Vanessa and Ryan shared just part of their vows at the first location and exchanged their rings. I loved the photos we captured here! Next, we strolled around the park and enjoyed the scenery of the changing leaves while capturing some portraits. The fall leaves gave everything a cozy feel!

Then we hiked up to the top of the mountain. The photos of the two of them hiking up the mountain are some of my favorite photos as well! When we were at the peak, they read more sweet words to each other, slow danced together, and popped some champagne! At the end of the day, we walked back down to the trailhead. Vanessa and Ryan then head to a nearby Mexican restaurant to enjoy a meal together as newlyweds!

I love to travel and would love to capture your elopement! Contact me today to learn more!
